Eyebrow Hygiene
Proper hygiene and setup is important with all services provided to the public. With our classes we include sterilization as part of the learning. Refer to the actual Disinfect page for all of the products available. For your basic brow services you can mix the Concentrate 3 dilutions. One is for the cleaning of floors, walls, carts and tables at the end of the day as disinfection. The second dilution is for soaking plastics and implements as a high level disinfection for 5 minutes. The third dilution is for a surface cleaner and disinfectant. Spray surface area once and wipe for removal of organic material and then spray high traffic surface again and leave wet contact time for 5 minutes for high level disinfection. Always scrub your tools with friction and wash prior to soaking them. Scrub, rinse, dry, soak, rinse, dry and store in a bag, pouch or container until next use. Follow directions on container. All plastics can only be high level disinfected. Wood, foam, plastic, pumice, paper, gauze, cardboard, etc are considered disposable. Only stainless steel, glass, nickel, aluminum, metals and some specific plastics can be sterilised. When you come in contact with blood, mucous membrane or bodily fluid you must sterilise or dispose of. When dealing with any compromised health you must sterilise tools and use high level disinfection on surfaces in between each client. You must have training in the beauty industry for each type of service you are offering. A certificate shows your training and professionalism. It is recommended to wear nitrile gloves with all services.
